A church, a community, a charity. Rejuvenating life in the heart of Keighley.

Overview

At the centre of Keighley stands St Andrew’s, a parish church serving the heart of Keighley and its surrounding areas.

Church on the Green Neighbourhood Foundation is the charity leading Project Beacon: a £6.25 million project to reorder and preserve the Grade II listed church, build a new community hall and construct a link building between the two. The key purpose of the redevelopment is to provide a beacon of faith, love, light and hope for Keighley.

Four strands of work

  • Christian worship – at the heart of parish life with outreach across the local area.
  • Community use – accessible, flexible, welcoming spaces for a variety of groups, classes, clubs and gatherings.
  • Support for vulnerable people – services for those who find themselves socially and economically disadvantaged, addicted, lost and lonely.
  • Heritage Curation – preservation, promotion and explanation of the church’s history and its treasured assets.
